Energy Efficiency Programs

The Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska, in partnership with the local electric utilities it serves, provides a suite of energy efficiency programs that offer cash incentives paid directly to customers to help cover the cost of energy efficient upgrades. A list of eligible MEAN communities can be found by clicking here. There are five programs each with their own guidelines and application form:

These programs are open to customers of MEAN long-term wholesale power participants, with funds being paid on a first-come, first-served basis until funds last. For a quick high-level overview of each program, click here. The program year runs April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025. For questions, contact your local electric utility or Mandy Hansen at (800) 234-2595 or for email click here.
