The American Public Power Association featured the Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska’s cybersecurity pilot program in a virtual webinar in January as part of its Demonstration of Energy and Efficiency Developments (DEED) program.
MEAN’s secured a DEED grant in 2021 to initiate its cybersecurity pilot project, which provided cybersecurity assessments of six of its member utility systems to identify potential vulnerabilities and create a roadmap to assist them in improving their cyber preparedness.
MEAN staff members David Russell, director of governmental affairs and Sarah Jones, director of corporate services and digital solutions, joined APPA’s Paul Zummo, director of research and development, in leading the one-hour webinar that shared information regarding MEAN’s pilot
program.
