The Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska (MEAN), the wholesale power supply entity of NMPP Energy, elected officers and Executive Committee members for its Board of Directors for fiscal year 2024-25 at its annual meeting, held Jan. 18.
Those elected to one-year terms as officers of the MEAN board of directors beginning April 1 were:
Tom Ourada, city administrator, Crete, Neb., chair
Randy Woldt, utility superintendent/administrator, Wisner, Neb., vice chair
Edward Dunn, city superintendent, Grant, Neb., secretary/treasurer
Four representatives were elected as at-large MEAN Executive Committee members:
Bill Hinton, electric superintendent, Kimball, Neb.
Mike Palmer, electric superintendent, Sidney, Neb.
Adam Suppes, electric superintendent, Delta, Colo.
Brent Nation, city manager, Fort Morgan, Colo.
The MEAN Board consists of designated representatives from MEAN’s wholesale power participant communities in Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming and Iowa and acts as the final authority on rates and charges to MEAN long-term, total requirements participants.
Additionally, the Board elected Matt Langhorst, public works director, Glenwood Springs, Colo., to an at-large position on NMPP Energy’s Joint Operating Committee.
Formed in 1981, MEAN provides wholesale electric supply and energy-related services to its participating communities.
