NMPP Energy recently welcomed Orianna Jia and Ian Harkin to its team to work for the Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska (MEAN).
Orianna began her duties as a load forecast and planning analyst. A Lincoln, Neb., native, Orianna recently graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in political science and integrative biology. In her role for MEAN, Orianna will develop electric load forecasting models, variance reports, capacity data, and overall capacity management plans and while working closely with the resources, planning and transmission team.
Ian Harkins joined MEAN as a regulatory data and transmission analyst. Ian earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and will receive his master’s degree in public administration from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in December. Ian will complete transmission applications, ensure compliance with all energy data requirements and document all processes and procedures while working with the resources, planning and transmission team.
Aidan Beckman is sworn in as attorney
Aidan Beckman, NMPP Energy staff attorney, recently passed the Nebraska Bar Exam and was sworn in as an attorney at a ceremony at the Nebraska State Capitol in September.
Aidan, a native of Winona, Minn., joined the NMPP Energy team in 2023 as a law clerk and worked on a part-time basis while completing his law degree at the University of Nebraska College of Law.
Aidan’s duties include drafting contracts, policies and regulatory filings as well as conducting legal research and analysis and preparing resolutions and reports for board meetings.
