The City of Sidney, Neb., is seeking qualified individuals to fill a position in the Electric Department for Journey Lineworker and Apprentice Lineworker. This position is responsible for working on energized and de-energized distribution lines, building and maintaining underground and overhead systems, and installation of new services. Must be able to work more than forty hours, if needed, including evenings and weekends; work may not conform to a schedule of regular eight hour days. Must be able to be on-call.
The Apprentice Lineworker position will need to be enrolled in the Dept of Labor Apprenticeship Program and complete power line training. The Journey Lineworker position will need to complete a comprehensive apprentice lineworker program. Apprentice Lineworker wage begins at $23.09. Journey Lineworker wage begins at $28.09.
